The AADCP Newsletter presents information on activity progress, provides simple case studies of selected activities, and reports as appropriate on the arrangements and outcomes of various AADCP meetings. Please feel free to download the newsletter and share amongst friends and colleagues.     The 6th edition (January 2005) edition of the AADCP newsletter contains articles on the outcomes of the recent 10th ASEAN Summit in Laos (29-30 November 2004), where ASEAN's new development plan of action, the Vientiane Action Programme (VAP) was endorsed. The article also includes a summary of outcomes of the ASEAN-ANZ Summit (30 November 2004). The newsletter also provides updates on all three subprograms of AADCP, namely the Regional Economic Policy Support Facility (REPSF), the Regional Partnerships Scheme (RPS), and the Program Stream.     The 5th AADCP Newsletter includes articles on: the outcomes of the 2nd AADCP Joint Planning Committee Meeting, held in Sydney in July 2004; the five strategic assessments undertaken by the Regional Economic Policy Support Facility (REPSF) to assist in ASEAN's Vientiane Action Programme (VAP) preparations; the Regional Partnerships Scheme (RPS) in transition to support VAP priorities; the first completed RPS project, undertaken by KPMG Australia and the ASEAN Secretariat, which aims to strengthens taxation cooperation within the region; the three new Program Stream (PS) projects which have recently commenced with an inception briefing in Australia in August 2004; the PS project currently supporting harmonisation of e-commerce legal infrastructure within ASEAN; and the new RPS project which strengthens ASEAN's infectious diseases surveillance and response capacity.     The 4th AADCP Newsletter provides an overview of the 30 years of development cooperation between Australia and ASEAN, and discusses the celebration held in Canberra in April, which was attended by the ASEAN Secretary General, HE Mr Ong Keng Yong and the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon Alexander Downer MP. A book celebrating the 30 year anniversary was launched during this event. The newsletter also provides an update on the REPSF, RPS and PS programs, while also profiling individual projects (REPSF - telecommunications, RPS - energy, PS - animal health).
